I gave this business 2 stars because my haircut wasn't bad, and the stylist was flexible with my appointment time, but other than that I had many dislikes. Upon seeing my 2 stars Daniel Rosati left me a voice and text message as to why my rating was so low. I texted him back briefly describing that my hair looked liked it hasn't been washed in a week the day after my haircut, and that I did not appreciate his lack of transparency. He had earlier mentioned his pricing was $150 including tip, but did not hesitate to mention after the fact that it did not include the tip. He also complained he had given me a "free consult and change of style" when I didn't know he charged a consult fee because he wasn't upfront about that at the time of the consult nor did I request a change of style just my usual layers (that he claimed my previous stylist didn't do a good job at), and my hair is not curly or difficult to manage. So what prompted me to describe my experience? It was Daniel Rosati's response to that feedback. He was upset that my 2 stars will hurt his business, instead of asking me how he can make it right by the customer. He went on to tantrum about how "vindictive" it was to leave a 2 star review (I could take another star off for the drama). What he needs to understand is that the only person who can hurt his business is himself. There were many other dislikes about this business I don't care to waste my time sharing, but I certainly did not pay him $170 (tip included) to sit in his chair and listen to him passing judgement on how "women in Solana Beach don't care to dress up or do their nails like those in La Jolla" when all I wanted to do was get done with my haircut and get on with my day. Unprofessional. Daniel, if you are reading this (and I know you are) you have no business contacting me further. Good luck finding a stylist folks... just ask your friends. I'll be retuning to one of the two recommendations I got from mine.

Daniel has been cutting and coloring my hair for the past 7 years. I have curly hair and I am very particular about the way it is done. I have tried many "curly hair specialists" over time, but my search ended when I found Daniel. He has never let me down. My hair looks the best it ever has since he's been taking care of it.

Daniel is the best! He is a very talented and is an expert at taming unruly hair. I love it that he cuts my hair dry using scissors not a razor. My hair is very thick, wavy and difficult for most stylists to consistently make look good. Dan listens to what I want and always makes my hair look and feel awesome. If you want a keratin treatment look no further, this is one of his specialties. As a bonus, he is a very nice person and makes getting your hair done a lot of fun.

Daniel is a Master in his expertise with curly hair. Before I met him I would leave a salon with my hair wet because they did not know how to treat curly hair. He does my color too - believe me I am difficult to please but he is patient -listening to my concerns. He suggested certain shades and new colors. This is the first time I am getting all these compliments about my hair! It took me time to try the cut he suggested. The BEST cut I ever had. My hair is healthy and even the ends feel soft. It was not this way when I first met Daniel. Daniel Rosati is kind, thoughtful and talented. I am fortunate to have found him, I think you will be too.

Daniel takes upmost care with my hair and it truly shows. From using quality organic products to his discriminating and artful eye, I have complete confidence and satisfaction with my finished coiffure. I can count on Daniel to keep my hair most flattering and on point!
