I’ve been getting haircuts from Axle for 2+ years now and he is a certified professional. I originally found him because he is one of the few men in the North Park area that can style my hair properly. As a man, I want my hair to be styled/cut by another man, because that perspective is important to me. There surprisingly aren’t a lot of great hair stylist that are men in the San Diego area though, but Axle is great. Axle is great at what he does and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to try out something different.

Very disappointed! I didn’t want to write this review! It’s been months! The women who I was seeing to cut my hair, completely chopped off my hair as if she was angry with me! When I got home my daughter even said what happened to your hair?! Thank goodness for another salon I go to now has been helping me shape my hair back. It’s still not as even but it’s getting there. I literally had to cut my hair ear length after what she did to me!!

Even though this place is really small the work they do is great. I was tired of never knowing what quality level I’d receive in the national chain places. This place has way more options including coloring and high lights and low lights. The stylists are friendly and keep you informed every step of the way, and they describe your options clearly. This is definitely gonna be my usual place. Booking appointments is essential but they’ll be ready for you before you get there.

After spotting a woman on the street with an amazing cut and color, I chased her down and nearly begged her for her stylists name. I had recently moved from out of state and had tried numerous people without success. This woman kindly gave me the name of Axel Salon and told me to ask for Jackie. I made an appointment and LOVED my hair. I have very long thick hair and like to go very blonde. Jackie did amazing and I always go back. Her talent is incredible, prices are awesome, conversation is fun and upbeat and the atmosphere is super cozy. I HIGHLY recommend! You will not be disappointed!

AXLE Hair Labor is down the street from my house. After reading amazing reviews on Yelp, I decided to walk over on a Sunday afternoon just to see if there was someone I could chat with about my hair. Jackie was working and told me to come back in an hour and she would help me! I was so pleasantly surprised since I had come to hate my current hair. She spent hours fixing my hair on a Sunday afternoon/ evening and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted! She is great! She is a color specialist, and fun to hang out with. Makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I just went back a few days ago, showed her a picture and again, got EXACTLY what I asked for! Her prices are very reasonable as well. I would recommend AXLE Hair Labor to anyone!!!
